My daughter really enjoys her lessons with Kate, who has made sure she was fully prepared for her last two exams, both of which she passed with Distinction. Kate is encouraging and supportive making lessons a pleasure. Having searched for a good violin teacher for almost two years we were extremely fortunate to have found Kate.

She patiently and kindly tries to catch my technical mistakes before they turn in to hard-to-break habits. I intend to stay with Kate and strongly reccommend her as an excellent teacher who is always patient, kind, positive and encouraging.

Kate Randall is an encouraging and inspirational teacher to my two daughters aged 15 and 8 who have both enjoyed weekly violin lessons with her for the past two years. She has taught my younger daughter from the start and she now plays confidently in her junior school orchestra and gained a Distinction in her Grade 1 ABRSM exam. My older daughter's playing, both in her tuning and overall confidence, has improved immensely since being taught by Kate. She now plays a huge amount at school, both in the senior school orchestra and string quartet. She was pleased to have passed her Grade 4 ABRSM exam with a high merit. Kate is preparing them both for their next exam and I am very confident that they will again achieve high results and continue to have fun making music!

Ethan started his violin lessons with Kate three years ago and has really enjoyed his lessons. He has obtained Grade 1 and 2 with Distinction and is now working towards Grade 3. Kate is very encouraging and also keen to make sure that pupils play their violins with good technique.

Kate is a brilliant teacher who caters to all ages and ability levels. She is very flexible in her teaching and allows you to take your learning in the direction that you want, be it grades/professional level or simply just as a hobby.
